WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR CLASS?
Just yourself and your ID. You will get a lunch break so you may pack a lunch.
Dress code: classroom appropriate attire: no hats, sunglasses or hoods please.
I CAN'T GET 5 DAYS OFF IN A ROW FOR THE "D" COURSE. CAN I MAKE UP DAYS?
Yes. You complete the course when you complete the required 42 hours of training.
For example, if you attend a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but cannot attend Thursday and Friday that same week; you can attend the following D course week to make up the Thursday and Friday missed :)
WHAT ARE THE EXPENSES FOR THE "G" COURSE?
You will need $22 for your range fee, and 150 rounds of qualifying ammunition (9mm). You may bring your own firearm (9mm) or rent one of ours for $40.
Please do not bring your firearm to class unless you are instructed to do so. You will be qualifying at an OUTDOOR range, please remember: hat, belt, closed toe shoes, no low-cut tops, sunscreen, water and snack(s).
HOW DO I OBTAIN LICENSE AFTER I COMPLETE THE TRAINING?
At the end of your training, you will receive a copy of your certificate and application for license.
We will assist you with any questions may you have about filling it out. Once completed, present it to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing for your region.
HOW MUCH DO SECURITY OFFICERS GET PAID?It depends on the hiring company you work for and your level of experience.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR A LICENSE?The Concealed Weapon License fee is $102 , the "D" License fee is $97.75, and the "G" License fee is $112, within a 6 month time frame. After 6 months the cost is $154 (this includes a new fingerprint fee).
